Does size really matter? If you’ve read this far, then you know the answer is not necessarily. All things being equal, a bigger stone is usually better.
However, consider the following comparison:
• 1.0 carat, “Z” color, I3 included
• 0.75 carat “D” color, IF internally flawless
Which stone is the better choice? Many would argue that the 0.75 carat, “D” color, IF internally flawless is the better stone and if you were comparing prices, you would find that it would be the more expensive stone.
